Our mini concrete jungle

conServing up the goods (sorry)

When we bought 93, it came with an ancient extension that looked like it needed to be knocked down. Once we had our surveyor’s assurances it didn’t, husband and I set about turning it into a cheerful sunroom, perfect for warming up without having to listen to our neighbours scream at their kids. The only real expense in this project was the glazier, as he had to replace several blown double-gazed units. Then we just had to hit the masonry paint aisle, to choose a soft grey for the floor and our trusty white for the walls. After that all it took was an eBay sunlounger, some Ikea coloured rugs and a bistro Habitat table for it to become a real selling point.
