Despite our larger-than-intended To Do list for No 9 (skirtings, worktops, etc), move-in day has arrived! Friends are adamant that living on site will only slow down our renovation, and no doubt they’re right, but there’s only so long you can use up all of someone else’s hot water (husband takes looong showers). So we’re here, surrounded by a LOT of stuff (when was it we decided a two-bed house was big enough for us, again?) and quite a lot of tools, too. Still, there’s nothing like rolling out of bed and tripping over a hand saw to motivate you!
