Update: the results are in! So I was lying when I said there’s nothing I hate more than a downstairs bathroom; turns out I also hate pebbledash. Maybe it’s because you don’t see houses covered with stones and glue in Australia, but I get a sinking feeling whenever a house we view is covered with the stuff. But husband disagrees – he thinks seeing a newly pebbledashed house is reassuring, showing that the previous owners looked after the property. No 9 is newly pebbledashed. We can’t afford to chip it off, so:
