The renovation of No 9 is definitely gaining momentum. (Now I’ve said that, a giant crack will open up somewhere…) Our plasterer is going great guns, turning shabby shells of rooms into shabby shells of rooms with lovely flat walls. As the rooms dry, we’ve been able to start wet washing them with a mixture of water and trade paint.

Renovation coming along

Smooth moves - plastering the kitchen

Renovation progressing

The kitchen and study looking much better!

After the ‘Ensuite vs Family’ poll closed, we (OK, husband and chippie) have also got busy building the stud wall to divide up the second bedroom into a family bathroom and small double bedroom. It’ll be a little  bit of a squeeze in the bathroom, but good things come in small packages, right? We have also plastered the room at the end of the kitchen and taken out the shower, ready for the start of its transformation into a study. This week, watch out for your chance to renoVote on the colour of our house, as well as on some funky fittings and fixtures!
